And you guys thought the Ladies were not getting ready.

This is a small site that appears to be mostly woman.
Even though its small there are some great threads. I love the thread on the secret room!!
I can also tell you by the lay out of the website these Ladies will have shaved legs WTSHTF. :D

Great Find. I am so glad to see that there are others out there, especially the women, even thinking of needing emergency preps or having some preps avail for bad situations whether short term or long term. At least not everyone is just sitting around watching junk shows on TV all day (maybe even occasionally venturing thru the remote to watch the MM News once in while to see what Britney Spears is up to now). The lady preppers are not only thinking but DOING something. Its really refreshing to see.

Silver Shield, I'm not going anywhere. I have way too much female energy and am surrounded by Nurses and Daughters. When I surround myself with all women I get waaaay out there. Its a yin and yang thing, males and females have to balance each other or they can both lose perspective.

i'm wondering if i'm too set in my ways
and hopefully,
seeing things from a different point of view
may help with my plans for the future

I'm not going anywhere either. I've learned quite alot from the Survival prep posts in this forum. I keep finding things I hadn't even considered before, especially in the area of security, which is why I enjoy the male perspective on this forum.
Of course it never hurts to get good information from a variety of sources.

Well, it's pretty impressive site.

It doesn't appear to have a spot for discussing self protection, firearms, etc.

I specialize in teaching women to use firearms safely without the pressure that can be put on new firearm owners by SOME instructors.

Going back down to West Texas to teach a group of my sisters horse back riding buddies. She's calling it 'The Pistol Packing Momma' party.

There's even a song from the fifties called "Pistol Packin Momma, lay your pistol down". I FLAT LOVE IT.

So, I will be reading the whole site. Hopefully they do recognize that all the preparation in the world won't do you a bit of good if you cannot hold onto and protect yourself from the 'evil' in the world.

SB, there is too much generalization of women on this website. Ditto if you go to a female dominated website. Men and women tend to generalize on the opposite sex because of their own personal bad experiences. The sooner we realize we need each other and set those differences aside the better we will be. The women on Mrs Survivalist seem pretty balanced. I didn't see one man bashing thread. That rare for an all female discussion board.

Canadian Guerrilla, good for you. I'm glad you are joining and trying to be more open mined. I do think becoming to set in our ways can be a danger and fresh perspective can not only open your mind but add a lot.

Wallew, I think I did see a gun thread somewhere in Mrs Survivalist but I didn't bookmark it. Encouragement and education with weapons is very important. Guns are intimating to some of us. Little Ant is correct in that the men here have made us aware of security.
